Story behind the song
"Holy is the Lord" was inspired by Matthew 6:9-13. Written by Howard Melbourne, it was meant to be a song of reflection to remind us of how blessed we are to have an authority higher than any on earth, to watch over and counsel us through his word. To know that our Father has prepared a way to one day relieve us of our earthly burden, gives us the strength and courage to continue to fight in our battles with the flesh. We know that we are not alone, because there is one greater than all others, who will lead us only if we allow.
