Story behind the song
I say often that I am not a musician and it is true that I really do not here music as I write per se. I had a comment that this tune was to cheery for the heavy topic. I saw the point and I also had a comment that it worked too and I could imagine that also so I kept it as is. I was in my Egar Allen Poe mood too so I wanted the "nevermore" word most.
Lyrics
One last cry heard up in heaven One last warning and no more Seeing does not make believeing Your faith will stand on the word There's darkness once day turns to evening And I will be nevermore One last knock on your door One last hope that you will listen One last word that will be said 'fore over and over t'was mention There's nothing more I can do And there'll never be an extention When I will be nevermore One last knock on your door One last cry heard up in heaven One last warning and no more Seeing does not make believeing Your faith will stand on the word There's darkness once day turns to evening And I will be nevermore One last knock on your door One last knock on your door
