I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Lyrics
I met a girl on a hot summer day Told me her name and asked me to stay Rum and Coke with a twist of lime Said she was able to read my mind Chorus She said to make myself at home No need to spend the night alone July dreams, July dreams It was easy and I don’t regret July dreams I’ll never forget Now it’s autumn, leaves turned to rust So many memories between the two of us Chorus We reminisce with a twist of lime Our conversation returns to summertime I’ll never forget her simple request It ‘s why my July dreams are the best Chorus
