I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Lyrics
1. I need a switch to turn my temper off Something to make my rough edges more soft Why can't I be calm, why can't I be cool Please Lord change this stubborn old fool Chorus Today is the day that I will begin Please God, wash away my sin I want my pain to finally cease Please Lord, I pray grant me your peace 2. When temptation grabs me like a bear hug I won’t look for solace from inside a beer mug Don’t make an excuse for the way that I act Stuff all my bad habits in a croaker sack Chorus 3. In the still of the morning when I first awake I see the glory of a peaceful daybreak I want to remember that beautiful scene Please help me Jesus to be more serene Chorus
