I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Lyrics
1. Buy some gold and diamonds To decorate her finger She’ll be on the lookout for the next thing that you bring her You can buy romance from a Super market stand They say that love’s for sale I saw it packed up in a can Chorus I’ve got pain at the pump And I’m in a housing slump Short of cash but I can buy on time Thanks to fast credit it was easy to get it That’s how I just spent my last dime 2. Lavish her with fashions she craves the newest trends Book a Caribbean cruise her longing never ends There’s a golden opportunity with an easy payment plan Operator’s standing by and I’ll take all I can - Chorus 3. I got a letter… oh yes from my friendly IRS It tells me just how much they want me to spend It’s not close to what I owe but I’ll take it don’t you know Cause next year they’ll take it back once again - Chorus
