Story behind the song
I loved the story of the woman that came to see Jesus at Simon's house. Brings a tear a lot of times that I read it. I was happy with this song in telling that story.
Lyrics
Simon Do You See?
(WOMAN)
Heaven only knows
Were the angel goes
When his message is delivered to man
So what am I to do
The Prophet now he knew
Condemned as a sinner I am
But Simon let me be
It's not you but him I come see
Just as I am
With love in my hand
Hopeing in love I'll be free
And Simon let me be
(SIMON)
Now I understand
He's not a prophet but a man
To let this woman touch him that way
For if he were of God
He would take her roughshod
Clear the table at which we must pray
But no one seems to see
The Law is the way it must be
Drive her away
That's what it would say
No sinner will e'er defile me
But no one seems to see
(CHRIST)
I've somewhat to say
My example today
Both of you are debtors by far
Yet she knows the price
Of a pure sacrifice
But Simon your heart has grown hard
And Simon do you see
This woman bowed before me
Tatter and torn
Beaten and worn
Finally has found herself free
And Simon do you see?
(SPOKEN)
Woman, thy faith has saved thee go in peace
