I wrote this song in 1963, trying to learn the guitar. I couldn't play anybody else's songs. I finally recorded it.

I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Ia€™m gonna pack my bags, cana€™t hang around, gonna leave this town Nothin but trouble ever since you left I cana€™t stand no more of this old town, Ita€™s not the same without you around Nothin but trouble ever since you left Eat my dust just watch me go, I cana€™t stand the sound of this old town Nothin but trouble ever since you left No more frowns when I leave this town, see you around, oh goodby town No regrets, no more lies just an older wiser guy Goodbye Town, Goodbye Town © Words and Music A.P.
