The group Certified was formed in Spokane, WA in 1999 by Robert Brown (BG Church) and Michael Charles (Swindle). They developed a strong local following before relocating to the Seattle-Tacoma area in 2003. Through a series of mixtapes and full length releases, Certified has cultivated their own brand of both soulful and hard hitting street music. As two of the regions most prolific song writers and gifted story tellers they have utilized a catalog of quality material and a tireless worth ethic to win the favor of Rap/Hip-Hop fans in the Northwest. Certified has both recorded with and opened for artists such as : E-40, Young Buck, Too $hort, DJ Quik, AMG, C-Bo, Yukmouth, Spice 1, B-Legit, Luni Coleone, 151, Rass Kass, Bosko and Cool Nuts.
