Loud angular guitars
This is my 're-interpretation', of a song by Dutch 'Retro-Pop' band, The Mocks. Their original version of the song is what I'd call,
'Dutch Merseybeat'.
Rather than just record a faithful copy, I decided to go somewhere else with the arrangement. I've gone for a decidedly 1980s kind of sound... so this is more like a Bill Nelson's Red Noise song from early 1980.
The guitar solo is played on an e-bow.
The Drums (132 bpm) are 'House/Rave' inspired.
Not Ready (The Mocks)
guitar intro:
Let me tell you 'bout a girl I know.
she's so fine , and I love her so.
I'd like to make her my wife,
but she's not ready.
She says to me that she needs some time.
tell her, baby, that we're doing fine.
just let her answer yes, and not be so heavy.
Until that day arrives,
I will be waiting.
then you will be mine.
... you'd be so ready.
guitar Solo:
Let me tell you that she wants that too.
Been in love since the day I met you.
so in next year's time, soon she'll be ready.
Until that day arrives,
I will be waiting.
then you will be mine.
... you'd be so ready.
I'll make you happy,
you'd be so happy
but she's not ready.
